Republic Belarus, located in the center of Europe, compares favorably with many other European countries the presence of the richest natural resources - water, vegetation and animals. The presence of vast forest and marsh arrays, with relatively small development of the person and limited human impact on the unique Belarusian nature contribute to this day the preservation and development of the animal world. Rich fauna, and, hence, stable resources hunting animals make our country beautiful and productive hunting.

Traditionally in our country is spring and summer-autumn hunting on feathery game, the autumn-winter hunting for fur animals and ungulates. The most popular areas of hunting in Belarus are:
- boar hunting from a tower in the winter
- boar hunting in the summer, the damage of crops,
- fall hunting for elk and deer "on a roar" and "moan",
- autumn driven hunting on wild ungulates,
- spring hunting on waterfowl, goose and duck and upland game grouse and black grouse on a current,
- winter hunting with the flags on the wolf.
A special place is the bison hunt - hunting is permitted on the largest ungulate representative of Europe only the reserve gene pool is allocated a number of biological signs that bison are recognized as weak, unable to give a full-fledged offspring, and the withdrawal of such animals allowed in strictly limited quantities. Not anywhere in Belarus hunting is permitted, there are a number of protected areas - national parks, reserves, sanctuaries of national significance, which highlighted areas where it is strictly forbidden any economic activities, including hunting. Also around most major settlements are the zones prohibited for hunting.
Requirements for foreign hunters
Foreign citizens may carry out hunting on the territory of Belarus in the presence of:
- a document confirming the right to hunt issued in the country of their permanent residence, for example, a hunting ticket;
- permission for the possession and carrying of hunting weapons issued in the country of their permanent residence;
- one-time permission of internal Affairs authorities on the import into the Republic of Belarus and export from Belarus hunting weapons and ammunition (and, if available, hunting knives). This permission is issued on the basis of the application and of the agreement on the organization of the tour from a travel agent or the tenant of hunting grounds have the right to conduct tourist activities;
- hunting trips or one-time permissions for bagging game animal and hunting trips for him.

In hunting enclosures for hunting can be used bows and crossbows, meet the following technical requirements:
- bow got to stick, stretch and go for a shot with only human muscle power and have the force of tension not less than 18 kg, or 40 pounds (lb). The tension force is expressed in kilograms (pounds), essential for tensioning the boom length of 71 cm (28 inches) to its tip. The tension force is usually marked on the bow by the manufacturer;
- the crossbow must have a tension force to the fixing of a bowstring not less than 45 kg, or 100 pounds.
- the arrow to the bow must be at least 61 cm (24 inches), crossbow length the boom is not limited; the arrowhead should be solid, with sharp cutting edges and a width in the basis of not less than 2.2 cm (seven-eighths of an inch) or cutting edge needs to open up to the given width in contact with the object of hunting.
