Sabrefish

Sabrefish (Pelecus cultratus) – species of gregarious fishes of family semi-through passage karpovy which have the long and narrow body squeezed from sides, a back from grayish-greenish to green-blue color, a side silvery, a belly light, with a pink raid. Back and tail fins gray, other yellowish, the mouth top, is enough krupnyy.
In Belarus lives only in the basin of Dnepr and its largest inflows. Across Dnepr in small amounts rises to Mogilyov, it is often caught in Pripyat. Neither in lakes, nor in inundated reservoirs чехони isn't present. Lives in the rivers and reservoirs, mainly the southern pools, into the small rivers doesn't come. From lower reaches of the rivers enters for a food into saltish sea waters.
