Hirudotherapy

Hirudotherapy (hirudotherapia;) — the use of medical leeches with medical aim. The efficiency of the body is determined by reflex, biological and mechanical action of leeches. Reflex mechanism - the ability of medicinal leeches to treat human exposure to biologically active points. Biological mechanism - a biological exchange between the leech and man (Leech drawing blood and injects saliva unique in composition). Mechanical effect - the way of therapeutic phlebotomy, which is manifested in the mechanical unloading of local blood flow.
