European smelt

European smelt (Osmerus eperlanus eperlanus) — species of fish of family koryushkovy, the body low progonisty, is extended, covered with large scales, fish differs shorter lateral line and weak teeth. Body color silvery, back brown-green.
In Belarus lives in deep-water lakes of the basin of Zapadnaya Dvina. Lives in open part of lakes. In recent years the number of koryushkovy lakes is steadily reduced, the number of this fish is under the threat of disappearance from a fish fauna of Belarus.
