Alternative treatment

Alternative treatment also called alternative medicine - conventional concept that combines methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of human diseases, which for one reason or another did not gain general acceptance among physicians. The main reason for this is usually a lack of clear rules, a large part of subjectivity in the selection and application of these methods, poor reproducibility in the hands of different specialists and, therefore, difficulties in conducting objective tests of their effectiveness and widespread introduction into clinical practice.
Among the main non-traditional therapies, some of which also have limited use in traditional medicine include the following: homeopathy, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, apitherapy, thalassotherapy, girudoterapija, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, magnetic therapy.
