Plissa lake

Lake Plissa is located in Glubokoe district, Vitebsk region near Plissa village, at 17 km north-east from Glubokoe city. River Shosha and river Svilitsa run into the lake, as well as numerous streams, and river Mnyuta flows out.

The area of the lake is 4,24 km², its length - 6,2 km, maximum width - 1,43 km and the maximum depth is 15 meters. The lake has a complex type of basin, extending from west to east. The coastline near the lake is very winding. The lake has 7 islands. The banks of the lake are low, swampy and sandy, covered mainly by coniferous forest. The lake bottom is sandy, at a greater depth - sapropel. The lake water is clean, that make it a popular destination for the rest in Belarus.

The lake is also a popular destination for fishing. It is inhabited by rudd, perch, carp, pike, bream, silver bream, ide, roach. Fishing is free.
