Sublips (Chondrostoma nasus) — fish of family karpovy which is typical river fish, her body is slightly flattened from sides that provides a high speed of movement in water, the body is covered with scales of the average sizes, the mouth of this fish reminds a cross bow-shaped crack. Back dark green, sides and belly the silvery. All fins, except tail, are yellowish-orange. Back fin smoky-gray.
In Belarus typical sublips is available in the rivers of basins of the Western Bug and Neman, dneprovskiya occupies the rivers of the basin of Dnepr. Sublips is purely river fish. Conducts a day gregarious way of life. Lives on flat sites of the rivers with a moderate current, a sandy and stony bottom, usually in a benthonic zone.
