Pike

Pike (Esox lucius) — fish of family shchukovy which differs a torpedoviny shape of a body, has the big head, a wide mouth. Coloring changeable, depends on an environment: can be from gray-greenish to gray-yellowish, the back is more dark, sides with large brown or olive spots which form cross strips. Unpaired fins yellowish-gray, brown with dark stains; steam rooms — orange.
In Belarus lives in all big and small rivers, reservoirs, lakes, inundated reservoirs, ponds and even small sazhalka where gets into the period of a spring high water. Purely fresh-water fish. Usually keeps in superficial, growing places, as a rule, at coast.
