Zope

Zope (Abramis ballerus) — fresh-water fish from family karpovy which body high, strongly squeezed from the sides, completely covered with small scales, the head pointed, the mouth is a little turned up, a back fin short, but very high. ; Color of a back blue with a greenish shade, sides and a belly silver-white with a weak yellowish or reddish shade, chest fins yellowish, other pale gray.
In Belarus in a small amount it is caught only in the rivers of the basin of Dnepr. There are data on finding of a sinets in some lakes of the basin of Zapadnaya Dvina. Sinets is found and in the flowing lakes which are settling down in beds of the rivers. Lives on flat sites of the rivers, but it is more attached to deep places with a silent current.
