Lookup (Alburnus alburnus) — fish from family karpovy which body is extended, strongly squeezed from sides, it is covered with thin scales. Her head is pointed. The mouth final, is directed a little up. Eyes rather big. The anal fin is longer than the back. Back dark with a greenish shade. Sides and belly the silvery.
In Belarus it is widespread in all rivers, reservoirs, flowing lakes, ponds and inundated reservoirs with flowing water and a sandy bottom. Everywhere it is numerous, adheres to open sites of reservoirs with the slowed-down current.
