Ålectrodiagnostics -research of
excitability of the nervously-muscular device by means of various kinds of the
electric currents, allowing at a pathology to define to a topic and character of
defeat, to estimate degree of its weight, to judge the forecast and efficiency
of spent treatment. It is applied to revealing of diseases or traumas of
peripheral nerves and muscles.
On a body surface there are certain points which correspond most ýëåêòðè÷åñêè to
excitable points of each nerve and a muscle; to them attach an active electrode
in the form of a core; a passive electrode, in the form of a wide lead plate
place in the field of a breast or a waist of the investigated. Define an
excitability threshold (on the minimum current strength, capable to cause
visible an eye muscle reduction) at first on healthy, then on the amazed party
and establish quantitative changes. Absence of reaction of a muscle on strong
irritations speaks about destruction of a nerve or a muscle.
