Barbel ordinary

Barbel ordinary (Barbus barbus) — fish of family karpovy which can easily be distinguished from the majority of other karpovy fishes on existence of two couples short moustaches. Anal and back fins short. Has a low body. Back at the man with a big mustache olive-green, and a belly white.
In Belarus 13 local habitats are known, generally it is the rivers flowing into the Baltic Sea - Neman, Viliya, the Western Bug and their large inflows (The Western Berezina and Shchara), the Dneprovsky man with a big mustache lives in the Dnepr River and his inflows (Berezina, Drut, Pripyat, Sozh). Prefers ruslovy sites of the rivers up to 1,5-3 m in depth with a stony and pebble bottom and a rapid current.
